After three years of experimenting, we are proud to introduce our first official collaboratively produced wine where we apply French winemaking styles with local grapes! This Petite Sirah was grown in Suisun Valley AVA (the old-school stepchild of Napa) by Gary Mangels, whose great-grandfather owned the first commercial vineyard in valley back in the 1800s. Our goal for this was to make an approachable wine, balancing the power of Petite Sirah and with finesse from winemaking techniques that avoid over-structuring or over-extraction. In the end, this wine has depth and layers while still being very food friendly, helped by a cool climate in 2018. Versatile with food including chicken kebabs, eggplant and red meat. 14% abv.

Appearance: Bright semi-opaque purple, deep and reflective.

Nose: First, ripe red fruits: raspberry, cherry. Followed by deeper boysenberry, plum and blueberry; lifted by toasted almond.

Mouth: Full mouth with medium-full viscosity. Aligned with nose, but lighter than expected with nice acidity and soft tannins. Fruitiness is complemented with a note of eucalyptus. Finishes dry with dark chocolate.
