Collection: Domaine Coteaux des Margots

The Duroussay winery is located in southern Burgundy in the heart of the Maconnais hills with the ideal solar exposition for viticulture. The vineyards are mostly planted in the village of Pierreclos with some plots of Chardonnay in Saint-Veran and Milly Lamartine. Paul's father, Jean-Luc works the vineyards which are certified "haute valeur environnementale" representing their environmentally friendly farming practices.  In the next few years, Paul's brother, PJ plans to take the winery 100% organic, while staying focused on the the top priority, quality.

Maconnais wines are delicate and floral, with a balanced acidity and relatively low alcohol content. The dominant grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gamay, the typical grape of Beaujolais (just over the hills). The climate is generally cool and wet, and their limestone soils produce complex, delicate wines that we love and we thing you will too.

Pierreclos Imports started with two pallets of wine from Coteaux des Margots.  Today they are still our largest supplier and we are now their largest customer.  Our reputation was built by these wines and the support of Paul's family has made our business possible.
